Cocoa Beach is blessed with a sandy smorgasbord of inviting beaches, including Coconuts Beach, Alan Shepherd Park, Sidney Fisher Park, Lori Wilson Park and Robert P. Murkshe Memorial Park. At the center of the fun is the beach at Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier, located at 401 Meade Ave, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931.

Colorful, iconic, and infused with a sense of play as well as a strong surfing culture, the Cocoa Beach Pier anchors a popular stretch of sand for families, friends and couples. Fishing isn’t currently allowed.

The Pier reaches 800 feet over the Atlantic and is complete with a tiki hut—the Rikki Tiki Tavern -- at its end. It snuggles up to a wide beach heaped with sand that can look golden or light brown depending on the weather and the ocean’s mood. The bottom of the ocean slopes gradually, making it a good choice for the very young and old. The waves tend to be small and consistent, so it’s an ideal place to learn to surf. Sights include multihued umbrellas, sun-worshippers tanning on the shore, and kids bobbing in the sparkling Atlantic… and of course, surfers catching a ride or waiting for their next one. Expect waves, which will vary depending on tides, the wind, and offshore systems.

On or near the beach

Soaking up the sun and relaxing is a time-honored tradition-- but so is surfing, and you can join in the fun with a surf lesson. The Pier delivers experiences that include shopping, events and live music. Refuel at eateries that include Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant & Bar, serving up local seafood and exquisite sushi dishes; or cool off at the Ocean Freeze Daiquiri Bar, featuring your favorite frozen concoctions.

Facilities

The Pier is home to restaurants, bars, gift shops and live musical entertainment. It offers beach rentals of all sorts, fresh water showers, and regulation beach volleyball courts.
