Singer Island
With seven miles of golden shoreline, Singer Island, just north of Palm Beach on Florida’s Southeast Coast, is a family-friendly beach getaway with plenty of saltwater fun for visitors of all ages, from snorkeling among tropical fish to charter fishing. The island includes Palm Beach Shores at its southern tip and parts of Riviera Beach, communities that are home to oceanfront resorts, breezy seafood restaurants, and countless ways to spend time on the water.
John D. MacArthur Beach State Park offers two miles of pristine beach for swimming, snorkeling, diving, sunbathing, and shelling, as well as three nature trails, paddleboard and kayak rentals, a playground, and accessible amenities. Ocean Reef Park’s lush surroundings, 700-foot beach, playground, and picnic areas make it an ideal place for families to spend an afternoon.
The surrounding waters and tiny islands off Singer Island offer some of the best spots for paddling, snorkeling, diving, and fishing in the area. At Phil Foster Park visitors can explore all 800 feet of the popular snorkel trail to see a host of marine animals, from tropical fish to rays and octopus. Fish from the pier, book a dive tour, and explore the water by canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. Do some island hopping by starting at Sailfish Marina on Singer Island or at Riviera Beach Marina Village just over Blue Heron Bridge to catch a water taxi to Peanut Island, an 80-acre tropical park that’s popular for boating, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and camping.
Just a few miles from Singer Island on the mainland, visitors can spot manatees at Manatee Lagoon, explore Riviera Beach Marina Village, dig into flavorful Floribbean cuisine at Rafiki-Tiki, and hit the water slides and water coasters at Rapids Water Park
