Bradenton Beach
Bradenton Beach is a small, family-friendly town on Anna Maria Island on the Southwest Coast of Florida with a relaxed pace and miles of white-sand beaches.
Bask in the sun, picnic, look for shark teeth, and swim at Cortez Beach and Coquina Beach at the south end of the island, and take in the sunset from Katie Pierola Sunset Park, where the picnic tables sit under tiki huts. For panoramic views of Sarasota Bay, climb the large hill at Leffis Key Preserve.
Something you won’t find in Bradenton Beach are drive-thru restaurants. Instead, you’ll find plenty of family-owned and independent eateries. Try the popular Blue Marlin Seafood, which is housed in a 90-year-old nautical cottage, or Beach House Waterfront Restaurant, which has a climate-controlled deck that overlooks the ocean, and enjoy drinks with a view at Gulf Drive Café & Kokonut Hut.
When it’s time to shop, stroll through the Coquina Beach Market and browse offerings from 80 vendors. Then head to Bridge Street for gifts, decor, and more from the historic road’s eclectic and colorful stores.
Plan your trip at Bradenton Gulf Islands.
