Since Orlando is my hometown, I could probably write a list of 50 or 100 of my favorite places to eat, but here are a few of my picks for some of the most romantic restaurants in Orlando.

The Ravenous Pig

I know. I know. It doesn't 'sound' romantic. But this gastropub is a big favorite among locals, so much so that you definitely need to call ahead for a reservation. Their luxurious menue includes unique cocktails such as their Rye & Chai (Rye & Chai Bulleit Rye, Dancing Pines Chai Liqueur, House-made Sour, Lemon Bitters) and delicious dinner items like Loch Duart Salmon (including roasted apples, almond butter, grapefruit caramel, radicchio.

The Bistro on Park Avenue

An evening here is sure to win you some romance points with your significant other. Enjoy a relaxing stroll along the majestic oak canopied brick streets of Park Avenue and discover their "Hidden Garden," where you'll feel like you've left Orlando and briefly entered the meandering streets of Rome. There is a passageway next to the Orlando Watch Company that is only accessible by walking, but tucked behind the street, you'll find several yummy eateries, including the charming Bistro On Park.

Portobello

You might think that Disney dining is all chain restaurants and chicken fingers, but I have a little surprise for you called Portobello. Here, the chef makes fresh handmade pasta daily, and there's outdoor dining available with fantastic water views. The chef is refreshingly creative and even developed a "biramasu" recipe that adds a beer reduction twist to the classic tiramisu dessert using a locally made organic beer.

Eola Wine Company

The Eola Wine Company is the place to see and be seen in downtown Orlando. I recommend ordering a flight of four tasty wines and several of their appetizers to nosh on tapas-style. Definitely take a look at their cheese selection that includes Humbolt Fog, Manchego and Grana Padano. After dining at your romantic restaurant in Orlando, take a walk across the street to Lake Eola to discover why Orlando was nicknamed "The City Beautiful" and watch the iconic fountain light show.

Seasons 52

An Orlando original, Seasons 52's wine list is one of the most impressive. Their Sommelier, George Miliotes, is the 152nd Master Sommelier in the world. He has a wine list he calls, "Drink them before their famous," that are delicious and won't blow your budget. Make a reservation at their Sandlake Road location and request a table on their patio overlooking a lake, where you'll see theme park fireworks over the horizon just in time for dessert.
