Headed to a Miami Heat game and want to know where to meet your friends for drinks ahead of time? Located in the heart of downtown inside the InterContinental Hotel, Toro Toro Miami is a sleek and sexy lounge with a killer selection of handcrafted cocktails.

Behind the bar, head mixologist Matt Phillips has been busy infusing signature favorites with new ingredients to enhance the restaurant’s already creative cocktail menu. And of course, I had to try a taste, or two. Or three.

“Great cuisine and great cocktails go hand-in-hand,” said Phillips. Indeed. Check out these drool-worthy drinks:

Passion Fruit Pisco Sour ($10): Capurro pisco, passion fruit, lime, egg whites and bitters

Sangre Mojito ($12): Solerno Blood Orange liqueur, lime, orange and mint.

Ahumado ($13): with mezcal, muddled yellow peppers, blood orange liquor andhomemade jalapeño ice cubes

Don't just go there for the cocktails (although they are fabulous), the food is delicious, too. Helmed by acclaimed chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval, the Miami Toro Toro restaurant offers delectable small plates, prime steaks, fresh seafood and creative desserts.
