I'm frequently asked which restaurants I recommend for a romantic dinner in Florida. Whether you're looking to celebrate an anniversary or just in search of the perfect candlelit table for two, here are my personal recommendations for romantic places to dine around the state. (I hope my husband is reading this!)

Romantic Dinner in Northwest Florida

I recommend Fish Out Of Water in Santa Rosa Beach for its breathtaking view of the emerald-colored coast of South Walton. Their menu includes locally influenced recipes, including delicious shrimp and grits.

Romantic Dinner in Jacksonville

On the opposite coast, near Jacksonville, check out Salt Grill at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island for an elegant setting overlooking the Atlantic and a unique experience using flavored salts.

Romantic Dinner in Orlando

Since Orlando is my hometown, I have multiple recommendations for the Central Florida area. Check out the post I wrote about my favorite romantic places to dine in Orlando.

Romantic Dinner in Tampa

For the Tampa area, you can't go wrong with the classic Bern's Steakhouse. Located in the trendy SoHo district, they have one of the largest wine lists in the world and are eager to give you a tour of their wine cellar. Cozy up in their dessert room after dinner in your own private booth made of old wine barrels and order their bananas foster made table side.

Romantic Dinner in Naples

In Naples, Truluck's is the place to go for an elegant candlelit dinner and some of the best seafood in town. But if you're seeking great ocean views, then make reservations to dine on the beach at Baleen, located in La Playa Resort.

Romantic Dinner in South Florida: Miami & Miami Beach

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon opened in Miami in 2019, just a year after the death of the acclaimed French chef. Rubuchon’s restaurants around the world have garnered more than 30 Michelin stars, a testament to his exacting vision and consistently excellent food. There are 34 seats in the Design District location and all with a good view of the open, rambunctious kitchen.
Make sure to sample Les Crevettes de Key West (Key West pink shrimp with a habanero and shishito dressing, potatoes and sugar-snap peas); La Fraise (poached rhubarb, strawberry light emulsion and soursop sherbet)Romantic Dinner in the Keys

Romantic Dinner in the Keys

In the Florida Keys, there are several romantic spots that are a must-see. The first is in Key Largo at Morada Bay Beach Cafe or Pierre's Restaurant. The swaying palm trees, stunning views and Caribbean-style menus are sure to take your breath away. Located right next to each other, Morada Bay is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner while Pierre's is more upscale. In Key West, the Hyatt's SHOR restaurant is the best place to watch the sunset while sipping umbrella drinks and enjoying great local seafood.
