Guests can also check out Skydive City’s events, and Jump Florida Skydiving, nine miles south of Zephyrhills in Plant City. At the Upper Hillsborough Tract of the Upper Hillsborough Preserve, visitors can spot wildlife, bike, hike, and ride horses along miles of multiuse trails, and fish on the Hillsborough River. Hillsborough River State Park in nearby Thonotosassa offers seven miles of hiking trails, tent and RV camping, kayak and canoe rentals, and scenic strolls along the river’s class II rapids.
In town, visitors can see colorful murals and learn about the town’s railroad history at The Depot Museum, as well as visit the Barracks Museum at a former U.S. Army airfield where fighter pilots trained during World War II. When it’s time to eat, Sunrise Eatery, The Great Catch, and Plaza Mexico Mariscos Restaurant Bar & Grill are all popular choices. Zephyrhills Brewing, located downtown, is part of the Sports Coast Ale Trail and hosts a variety of food trucks.
Visitors to Zephyrhills have easy access to a number of major West Central Florida attractions including Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and ZooTampa at Lowry Park, which are located within 30 miles of the city.
