Riverwalk is a great way to see Tampa.
The nearly two-mile Tampa Riverwalk connects Tampa's dynamic cultural and sports venues, family-oriented parks and museums and the city center's vibrant business community, creating a fun new way to spend your free time downtown.
The Riverwalk pathway winds its way through shaded parks, under bridges and over water. Access is free, and you can go anytime you wish.
The Riverwalk passes hotels with outdoor lounges, boat docks, river cruises and vistas of local history. For example, the old Tampa Bay Hotel, which is now home to the University of Tampa, is along the route
There are restaurants like Ulele, cultural stops like the Museum of Art, The Glazer Children's Museum, the Tampa Bay History Center and Amalie Arena.
And, if you're feeling a little parched, you'll find just the right refreshments. The open-air sale pavilion with a full bar located next to the Tampa Convention Center is especially plentiful.
More information, visit Tampa Riverwalk.
