Blind Creek Beach: Pristine and Perfect
By Lauren Tjaden
Blind Creek Beach, on a barrier island south of Fort Pierce, qualifies as pristine by any standards, a natural beach where ospreys soar the breeze and sea turtles waddle ashore to nest.
You could even rightfully call it primitive, since this eight-mile stretch lacks basic amenities such as fresh water, never mind restrooms with flushing toilets.
Yet that’s what makes Blind Creek Beach perfect.
The sun, the perfume of salted-air, and the music of the surf combine into an ideal recipe to reconnect with the outdoors and loved ones.
