And at $24 a night, the price is beautiful too. 4,372-acre Lake Louisa State Park offers 60 full-facility campsites cradled between Dixie and Hammond Lake; some sites can accommodate rigs up to 50 feet, and pets are welcome. Campground amenities include two accessible bathhouses, two accessible fishing piers, and a pavilion. Activities at the park include canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and 20 miles of unpaved multi-use trails. A mere 30 minutes from Disney, 1,500-acre Moss Park is a haven for nature, and boasts campsite reviews like this one: “It was spacious, had beautiful scenery, and was close to the bathrooms. The playground and park areas were nice, clean, and inviting.” It offers boating, swimming, hiking trails, picnic tables, fishing and more. You’ll like the price, too—it’s only $24 per night, and all 54 RV/tent sites have fire rings, grills, picnic tables, water and electric. With the exception of service animals, pets aren’t permitted. This 355-acre park offers camping, kayaking, a concession, picnic pavilions and a playground. But the undeniable star of the show is its free-flowing, deliciously cool natural spring, the perfect remedy for a scorching summer day. Even your little ones can wade, swim, or tube in the crystalline waters as they flow into Rock Springs Run. It offers only 26 campsites at an affordable $23 a night. Each site is spacious, private, and shaded, with a picnic table, fire ring with a grill and water and electric access. Pets aren’t allowed, with the exception of service animals.

Sherwood Forest RV Resort

For an RV park with a convenient location, Sherwood Forest scores big, sited a mere four miles from Walt Disney World.
