The View from Above: Photographing Miami via Helicopter

Imagine soaring through the sky above Miami Beach via helicopter. There are no doors. It's just you, the pilot, an equally adventurous photographer friend and a seat belt.

FlyNYON, an aerial visual company, provides you views of Miami and beyond via helicopter. The company invites consumers and adventure-seeking photographers to fly through the sky to capture original citywide aerial images -- just like the pros.

The company started as NYonAir in New York, specializing in birds-eye views and visuals of Manhattan. 

“We decided to enter the South Florida market first, so consumers can capture the ever-growing Magic City’s skylines as well as its lush, tropical landscapes and ocean views,” said NYonAir CMO Matthew Goodrich.

“The images are always amazing, but it’s the unique experience and the sensation that you feel when you are up in the sky, doors removed, that keeps consumers coming back again and again.”

Here's how it works: the company offers guests state-of-the-art helicopter flights, guided by photo-centric pilots, to position them above the city and shoot from some of the most distinctive vantage points in the world.

All helicopters have twin engines. Some are two-seaters; others can seat four or more. Flights usually last around 35 minutes and one seat starts at $249. The company offers specials from time to time, such as buy one seat and get one at half price.

Since FlyNYON’s launch just one year ago, its photo experiential flights have quickly garnered success via social media, with more than 650,000 fans sharing their original aerial images and experiences.
