Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Pensacola is home to the Wall South, a permanent replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Veterans and their families come to find the names of friends and loved ones among those of the 58,217 Americans killed or missing in action in the Vietnam War.
Other memorials in the park pay tribute to veterans of World Wars I and II, the Korean War, the Submarine Lifesaving League, and Marine Corps aviators.
Maintenance and upkeep is paid for entirely by donations, most contributed by veterans themselves.
