My family and I spent the weekend in Jacksonville and boy-oh-boy we had a blast! We came to see the 24th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Jacksonville Landing and their famous Holiday Boat Parade, but during the day, we found lots of family friendly places to explore.

And I have to tell you, staying at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront was fantastic. Great location! Excellent service! And we were able to walk or take the water taxi everywhere.

Ok, back to our favorite finds - the Riverside Arts Market. You'll find it under the 401 bridge along the St. Johns River. It was awesome! Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., they have performers, live music, artists, and tasty food vendors. During winter (mid-Dec - March), you can still find the Farmer’s Market going strong, but most vendors return in spring.

I’ve got lots to tell you about our Jacksonville adventures, but in the meantime, here’s a short video of the Riverside Arts Market. (We loved it so much  that we left and came back a few hours later for more grouper tacos! Devon even got to pet an alligator at the MOSH vendor booth - Museum of Science & History.) Bring the whole family when you come!
