A visitor’s review of Playalinda Beach sums up its appeal nicely: “Natural beauty and you can get naked too.”
Located in pristine Canaveral National Seashore, the longest undeveloped stretch of oceanfront on Florida’s east coast, this beach is great for surfing, and is relatively remote, with toilet facilities in each of its parking lots but no other amenities.
It’s wild, and a treat for the eyes, with graceful dunes unfettered by high-rises. It’s a treat for the ears, too, a place where you hear the surf and the melody of the breeze rustling the sea oats instead of traffic.
If you choose to go au natural, parking lots 12 and 13 will give you access to the nude sections of the beach.
