There's no shortage when it comes to fine beaches along Northwest Florida's coastline, and one of my favorites is Langdon Beach, FL, which is found in the Fort Pickens section of the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
Why Langdon Beach of Pensacola, you ask? Well, for one thing, being just outside of Fort Pickens and the rest of the historical fortifications is a definite plus. There's also a campground so you can stay right near the beach! This whole area is amazing -- I really could spend weeks exploring the area around Pensacola by camping at Fort Pickens. Hey, wait -- that's getting added to my "trips to take" list!
