Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail SEGMENT 15: FLORIDA KEYS OV
The Florida Keys Overseas Paddling Trail is a great place to spend your next vacation. Paddlers enjoy tropical splendor and a rich diversity of marine life, ranging from manatees and sea turtles to lobsters, fish and stingrays. When you need to take a break from paddling, civilization in the form of great restaurants, lodging and entertainment are within easy reach of the water.
This segment stretches from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo to North America's southernmost city, Key West. Along the route, paddlers can camp at several blue ribbon state parks, private campgrounds, remote islands or they can choose from a number of motels. The route also runs alongside several Keys landmarks, such as the Seven Mile Bridge, and paddlers can explore the historic Indian Key, Pigeon Key and Fort Taylor. Once in Key West, don't miss the sunset celebration at Mallory Square!
