At Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, visitors can see the famous Weeki Wachee mermaids perform in an underwater theater, swim in the spring and slide on the water slides at the park’s Buccaneer Bay beach, see wildlife shows, and more. Other favorite family-friendly activities in the area include picking blueberries at local farms, visiting the beach at Pine Island Park, and riding bikes on the 54-mile paved Suncoast Trail. The Nature Coast Botanical Gardens and Nursery welcomes visitors to explore the gardens free of charge.
