Found along Florida's Atlantic Coast between Fort Pierce and Cape Canaveral, Sebastian is the site of Sebastian Inlet State Park, known for surfing, and Pelican Island, the nation's first wildlife refuge. Sebastian is one of Florida's authentic Treasure Coast communities. A walk along Sebastian's riverfront takes you past old fish houses, dockside restaurants where a view of the famous pelican is guaranteed, and marinas harboring pleasure boats of all sizes. Sebastian is noted for its excellent fishing, surfing and watersport activities. In addition, vestiges of 18th-century Spanish culture can be found at various historical and archaeological museums in the area.
