Winter Park offers great window shopping all the time, but the Sidewalk Art Festival kicks it up to another level. For one thing, there's the variety. "I'm a painter," says artist David Williams, "right across from me is a ceramicist, on either side of me are photographers — and you can come here with any kind of budget and walk out with something you can hang on your wall." At one of the nation's oldest, largest and most prestigious juried outdoor art festivals, casual browsers rub shoulders with serious art collectors — more than 350,000 visitors come by every year. And instead of just picking something out of a bin at a gallery, you'll get to chat with the artist about the creative process.
