Orlando is the prime spot for family vacations and golf courses, but if you're looking for a quieter spot outside the city, then you just may be in luck.

Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club is located in Haines City, just 30 minutes from Disney and 30 seconds from incredible golf!

This prime spot has "Stay and Play" packages and can accommodate anything from a single room to a three-bedroom suite.

The resort and golf course are in a quiet, gated community, and close to Manny's Chophouse, which is famous for its signature steaks and romantic ambiance.

The clubhouse is a local hangout for members and resort guests, and offers evening drinks at reasonable prices. If you aren't convinced yet, just wait until you hear about the golf!

You'll be surprised that the greens fees are only $50 this summer, because Southern Dunes is in immaculate shape. The fairways are mowed with perfect stripes, and the rough has a rich, thick glow to it. Course architect Steve Smyer designed the course around more than 180 bunkers, making Southern Dunes a challenge for everyday golfers. Don't let these high-lipped bunkers dissuade you, the course plays fair and good shots are rewarded.

Some of the best holes are the par 3’s; these short holes are downhill so you can get a full view of the green and all of the beautiful vegetation surrounding it. The course plays over 7,200 yards, and has an elevation change of over 100 feet. Even if you're not a golfer, the views are stunning for a morning walk from your guest room.

You can't find exquisite public courses like Southern Dunes at these prices. Located just outside of Orlando, why not take the family this year on a quiet, relaxing, no traffic getaway. Hmmm doesn't that sound nice?
