During a recent visit to Cape Canaveral to visit the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex, my family stayed at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral Beach Resort.
Located along the Atlantic Ocean, this beachfront resort was a welcoming retreat, filled with great amenities and the comforts of home.
Here are five reasons your family will love the Holiday Inn Cape Canaveral:
The resort offers standard accommodations and one- to two-bedroom villas, complete with a living room and dining area. Our two-bedroom villa was equipped with three televisions and my kids enjoyed having their own area to unwind in each night before bedtime.
Full Kitchen
While dining out is a big part of vacationing, preparing a home-cooked meal is important to my family. The resort’s full kitchen was equipped with full-size appliances, cookware and a dishwasher. We enjoyed sitting around the table for dinner after a long day of travel.
Adjacent to Jetty Park
In addition to the beach, the resort is just steps away from the 35-acre Jetty Park. Stop by the beach pavilion for lunch or stop by the fishing pier to try your luck at catching a fish – you don’t even need a permit. If you have bikes, you can enjoy the great biking trails through the park.
Dedicated Children’s Area
The resort’s indoor family center is an impressive area, complete with video games, televisions, a reading nook and a large play area with slides and a mini-obstacle course. Check the daily schedule for group activities perfect for families – including movie nights, arts/crafts time and bingo.
Mini-Golf and More
The resort offers a fantastic pool area, including a splash park for the little ones and a slide for older children (and adults, too). The 9-hole miniature golf course was a big hit with my family. Complete with surfboards decorating the course, we spent time there after dinner for a friendly competition.
