For over ten years, the Dolphin Explorer has set out on a mission to document the active dolphin population of Southwest Florida. Departing from Marco Island, the Dolphin Study embarks on a voyage of discovery through inlets and waterways leading to a shelling expedition on remote Keewaydin Island. The tour allows visitors to actively participate in a real scientific study by photographing the dolphins' unique dorsal fins — one way researchers identify and track individual dolphins.
