During a recent visit to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes, I was excited to learn that they share a working farm in Orlando with the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes – and it is located right on their property.
Situated between the sixth tee box of the resort’s golf course and a quiet creek, Whisper Creek Farm is home to chickens and a 7,000-square-foot fruit and vegetable garden.

Products grown on the farm are used at many of the restaurants at both The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes resorts.
To arrange a tour of the Orlando farm, all you have to do is contact the resort concierge.
The tour is a fantastic opportunity for kids -- there’s no better way to learn about the food we eat than to visit one of the farms in Orlando.
When you visit the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes, take time to also visit the PRIMO Organic Garden with fresh herbs and produce, located just outside of the PRIMO restaurant. I enjoyed strolling the garden discovering ‘new to me’ spices.

The garden and Whisper Creek Farm allow the resorts to integrate local and sustainable products into their cooking, making their dishes true homegrown meals.
