First off, let me start by saying I love what I do. It's always a pleasure to seek out the coolest places in Florida and share the story with others through social media, blogs, videos and photos. What a remarkable place we live in – there truly isn't any other place like it in the world.
I was reminded of this during a recent trip to Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River with Bill "Bird" Oestreich, co-owner of Bird's Underwater Dive Shop, as we explored the springs in a way that's completely new to me. I've snorkeled, swam, floated, and paddled around Three Sisters Springs countless times before, but never any did diving.
My wife Amanda, who's a writer for the Citrus County Chronicle, was along on the trip, too. It was a great experience for both of us, and we were on a scuba high for the next couple of days.
