Trail Tuesday: Off-Road Biking at Oleta River State Park
Most folks find it hard to believe that there are good mountain bike trails in Florida. No matter if you call it mountain biking or off-road riding, rest assured that you'll find a trail that ranges from mild to wild. We've got trails that are perfect for beginners and sweet singletrack that will challenge the most experienced riders.
At Oleta River State Park in Miami, riders can head out and enjoy a day's ride on fifteen miles of trails. With names like Dragon's Tail, Gates of Delirium, and Rocky Mile, you know these trails are good. In fact, the trails at Oleta River State Park are considered some of the best in the Southeast.
No bike? That's not a problem. Swing by Blue Moon Outdoor Center, located right in the park and rent one. They have bikes for kids, cruisers, and hardtail mountain bikes. Blue Moon Outdoor Center also rents kayaks and paddleboards, just in case you want to take a paddle after your bike ride.
