Quiet Time: Gamble Rogers at Flagler Beach

    By Lauren Tjaden

Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, windswept Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach is named after the well known folk artist, singer and musician who died not far from here in 1991. On Florida's east coast between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, the main attraction here is the beach, with strong supporting roles from the peace and quiet. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming, sunbathing, and beachcombing. You won’t have any trouble finding a place to spread out your beach towel.
