Located north of Panama City, a kayak trip on spring-fed Econfina Creek is great year round. While it's busiest during the summer months, I like the solitude of a trip in the off season. Whatever time you decide to go, the scenery along the creek can't be beat.

Since it's January, I'm not too sure if you want to go for a dip in the springs (hey, go for it if that's your thing) but the paddling is worth the trip by itself. If you go, launch at the Econfina Creek Canoe Livery, where they can set you up with a 3.5-hour float/paddle. They also provide shuttle service back to the livery when the trip is complete.

Why tell you about it when I can show you? Check out the video and make plans to go paddle Econfina Creek. For more information, visit www.canoeeconfinacreek.net.
