Beach Yoga on Anna Maria Island Florida

Anna Maria Island is a feel-good kind of getaway. It’s relaxing. Laid back. Like a massage for your soul.
Nestled at the southern mouth of Tampa Bay, the barrier island is a sweet slice of old-time Florida. To call it “small” is an understatement; only seven miles long, it’s so narrow you can often see the Gulf and bay at the same time.
It’s a place without high rises, where you can nosh on seafood in your flip-flops right by the beach in a rustic café, or rent a Hobie Cat and sail into the emerald colored waters of the gulf.
I can’t imagine a more perfect place to practice beach yoga.
Every Monday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m. you can enjoy Yoga on the Beach (at the Public Beach at Manatee Avenue and Gulf Drive) -- just as long as Ma Nature cooperates with good weather. These beginner-friendly classes are open to all. Bring a big towel or sheet instead of a mat. The cost is by donation. Call 941-405-3377 for more information.
