Where to Play Footgolf in Florida

    By Carling Nolan

Just last night, I was having dinner with my little brother, and he was telling me about all the new high school crazes.

Hearing him talk about blue tennis shoes and Youtube is usually my cue to tune out for a few minutes, but then he started on something that caught my attention.

Apparently FootGolf is all the rage now, a combination of soccer and golf. It sounded intriguing, so I decided to do some investigating about the sport and FootGolf courses in Florida.

When I was researching where to play FootGolf in Florida, I was shocked to find out that FootGolf is now available at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, and people are going crazy for it!

The game is played with a regulation #5 soccer ball at a golf course facility on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups. The rules are surprisingly similar to the rules for golf.

FootGolf as a game is played throughout the world in many different forms, but as a sport, it is regulated by the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG).

The American FootGolf League (AFGL) is the exclusive member of the FIFG and governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the United States. The AFGL is creating the necessary structure, working with golf courses, to bring FootGolf to their clubs as another avenue for revenue and to develop the game further.
