Tour the Wakulla River on Aug. 24
By Kevin Mims
Attention birders and wildlife enthusiasts: If you haven’t toured Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park by boat, the perfect opportunity to do so is coming up in August.
An early boat tour is going on Saturday, Aug. 24, starting at 8 a.m., and trust me — this northwest Florida park is something you don’t want to miss. It’s home to one of the deepest springs in the world and a wide range of animals, including an abundance of bird species, alligators, turtles and deer.
Fees are $10 adults and $7 for children 12 and under. To make a tour reservation, call 850-. For more information, about the park, visit http://www.floridastateparks.org/wakullasprings.
