If your little one has always dreamed about becoming a mermaid, then look no further than the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando.

Each afternoon during the summer from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., guests can take part in The Mermaid Academy at the resort’s pool. Learn how to swim and play with wearable mermaid tails for the girls and shark fins for the boys.

Guests can rent the child-sized mermaid tails for $25 per hour and shark fins for $15 per hour. It’s a unique experience that is sure to be a memorable experience for children, and a great photo opportunity too.

In addition to The Mermaid Academy in Orlando, the resort also offers numerous outdoor and water-based activities.

Families can enjoy the Water Slide Tower Pavilion, rock climbing stations for children, an interactive water jet splash zone and even a rope bridge.

Have fun at the resort’s Windsong Lake where you’ll find kayaks, canoes, sailboats, and paddleboats available for use. The resort is also home to 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus designed golf, along with a tennis and racquet club.

And for parents that need a time-out from The Mermaid Academy in Orlando, don’t miss the on-site Marilyn Monroe Spa. And don’t worry about the kids, they can spend some supervised time at Camp Hyatt. Everyone deserves to have fun.
