Disney fans – have you ever dreamed of living in Radiator Springs with Lightning McQueen?

Or maybe staying in the jungle surrounded by the Lion King characters?

Or maybe thought about going under the sea with The Little Mermaid and the fishy friends from ‘Finding Nemo’?

If so, Walt Disney World’s Art of Animation Resort is the place for you

My family and I recently had the opportunity to stay in a ‘Finding Nemo’ room at the resort and it was absolutely magical. It was like stepping right into the sea – bright colors, the décor and the spacious room made it feel like home.

This value resort features family suites with accommodations for up to six people including a bedroom with one queen-size bed; one double-size convertible table/bed – similar to a Murphy bed; one double-size sleeper sofa; two bathrooms and a kitchenette. The ‘Little Mermaid’ section of the resort features standard rooms.

The centerpiece of the resort is the zero-entry Nemo-themed pool with 310,000 gallons of water. It's the largest pool on Disney property, not counting water parks.  And if you stick your head underwater, you might even hear Nemo and his friends talking to one another.

In addition to the ‘Finding Nemo’ area, there’s also a life-sized Radiator Springs from the movie ‘Cars’ – complete with a Cozy Cone Motel and pool.  In ‘The Lion King’ area of the resort, families can gather each night in the Pridelands for movie night among the stars and ‘The Little Mermaid’ area has its own pool for little ones to flip their fins.

As with all resorts on Disney property, guests have access to free bus transportation to the parks and those flying into town have access to the complimentary Magical Express transportation service from the airport.

We had a great time at the resort and my kids are already asking to go back again soon.  There are so many great activities to do at the resort, we are looking forward to a return visit.  Until then, I’ll be dreaming of splashing in the Nemo pool!
