Florida Quilt Museum, Quilt Trail and Quilt Festival

Each year Trenton’s Suwannee Valley Quilt Festival features quilts, needlework, crafts and antiques with dozens of demonstrations and special presentations. Hundreds of quilts are displayed both indoors and outside, with many available for purchase. The festival centers around Trenton’s Historic Depot District, an area showcasing Florida Quilt Trail quilt blocks, part of the growing Barn Quilt Movement, sponsored by and celebrating local businesses, governmental, recreational and civic organizations. With more than 19 quilt blocks, Trenton’s colorful trail segment, along with those of neighboring rural communities, helps to bind these communities together with the largest grassroots arts project in the United States. The Florida Quilt Museum promotes Florida’s quilting heritage with many rotating as well as permanent exhibits, demonstrations and quilts galore.
