Suncoast Arts Fest Weekend

The Suncoast Arts Fest, Pasco Counties premiere arts festival is proud to be celebrating its 11th year of supporting education for the arts in Pasco County. The festival will be held January 16th and 17th, 2016 at the centrally located, Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, Florida. This upscale shopping venue is located just off of I-75 in the northern part of Tampa Bay. Artists and art lovers alike enjoy this outdoor fine arts show which has grown to 100,000+ attendees during the two-day festival.

125 fine artists and craftsman from across the U.S. will display art that includes ceramics, watercolor, acrylics, oils, mixed media, drawings, graphics, fiber, photography, glass and jewelry.

In addition, the event includes live performances and entertainment by regional and local youth. Sidewalk chalk artists liven up the street. A kids art garden provides unique arts for the younger visitors, and upcoming “Emerging Artist" work is displayed as well. A unique “Phoneography contest” utilizing smartphones where attendees have the opportunity to explore their creative side.

Duncan McClellan, renowned glass artist, will return this year with the DMG Project, a glass etching experience that donates proceeds to arts education.

In 2015, the first Art Maker Space, where technology and art collide, was introduced at the event. Showing how this event supports arts education in schools will be the a focal theme this year.
