Grumbles House Antiques & Garden Shop

Grumbles House is a beautiful 2 story house built in 1908 by John Allen Grumbles for his young family. Five fireplaces, a sturdy staircase, transom windows and beautiful woodwork throughout make the house itself something to see. Filled inside to the brim with antiques, unique gifts, ladies clothing & accessories, home decor, gourmet foods, bath & body products and a garden room, a comfortable shopping experience awaits you with complimentary drinks and food samples, local music playing overhead and friendly folks.

Outside, meander through the garden on quaint walkways built from old bricks and the USA made stepping stones we sell. Enjoy the fountains, birdbaths, wind-spinners, gazing balls and garden statuary nestled among healthy locally grown flowering plants, ferns, trees, herbs and woody ornamentals. Our knowledgeable garden staff will share information and help you find the right combination of plants to make your gardening experience successful.

In the rescued WWII army barrack next door, find outdoor living furniture & accessories (deck heaters & copper fire pits, 100% recycled plastic rugs in fun patterns and unique lighting), more furniture, stained glass panels and lamps as well as an array of silk flowers to build your own bouquets and arrangements.

Be sure to sign up "in the big house" for our monthly email newsletter which keeps you informed of upcoming events at Grumbles and throughout the Historic Village (Jazz Up Dunnellon, Boomtown Days, Hot Summer Night, Victorian Holiday Festival). We host Estate Sales so those, along with pictures of contents are included in newsletter as well as new merchandise and plants arriving at Grumbles House.

For locals we host an event called "Garden Groupies" where you'll enjoy homemade refreshments and a gardening talk packed full of useful information, funny trivia, gardening "specials" and a few surprises.

Frequently complimented for the inviting atmosphere, reasonable prices and friendly, helpful staff, we hope you'll put Grumbles House on your list of places to visit while in North Central Florida and like many others, make it an annual stop to see what's new.
