Naples Historical Society - Palm Cottage

Historic Palm Cottage, is Naples oldest home, built in 1895 by Walter Haldeman. Registered as a Landmark in the National Register of Historic Places, it is the headquarters of the Naples Historical Society, a Board-governed, membership-supported 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to preserving Naples past. A treasured and respected symbol of Naples history, Palm Cottage serves the community's residents and visitors alike as a 3,500 square foot house-turned museum in which to learn about Naples rich and vibrant history. Year-Round Docent-guided tours of the Historic House Museum include viewing professionally filmed oral history films in the Cottage Theater, a self guided tour of the Norris Gardens at Palm Cottage and recently opened (March, 2013) the new Archival Viewing Center located in the renovated Guest House on the property of Palm Cottage. Also conducted throughout the year are Walking Tours of the Naples Historic District and Private Garden Tours. NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED FOR TOURS OF HISTORIC PALM COTTAGE/ RESERVATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR WALKING TOURS OF THE NAPLES HISTORIC DISTRICT AND GUIDED GARDEN TOURS OF THE NORRIS GARDENS AT PALM COTTAGE.
