LeMoyne Arts at the Meginnis-Munroe House

LeMoyne Arts is Tallahassee's longest running art gallery and education center, founded in 1963. Offering new contemporary art exhibits each month, a gallery shop and education center, there is always something to see and do at LeMoyne. Visit the beautiful outdoor sculpture garden for a quiet escape from the city. Constructed in 1854, the Meginnis-Monroe house in which the gallery is housed, was moved southward on logs in 1903 to its present location, and is currently the home of LeMoyne Arts. During the Civil War, the house was used as a temporary hospital for soldiers wounded at the February 1864 Battle of Olustee.
