Pinelands Preserve

This site features one of the largest stands of pristine pine flatwoods in western St. Lucie County. Three trails totaling six miles traverse the 750-acre preserve. Two observation platforms overlook open marsh and prairie. This site is also part of the state’s “Great Florida Birding Trail,” where a variety of birds are often seen, including the sandhill crane, wood stork and bald eagle.
