American Space Museum

A one-of-a-kind museum for the whole family, featuring artifacts from Projects Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle. We also have a rotating gallery that is ever changing with special exhibits, and differing pieces that depict what is happening in space exploration RIGHT NOW! We offer hands-on activities and docent-led tours to sharing the inside story of America's space program by the people who lived it. A mock-up control room contains the actual consoles which launched the Atlas/Centaur rockets for over 40 years. This interactive exhibit allows young and old alike to flip the actual switches and light up the panels. Just down the street in Space View Park, enjoy our beautiful monuments dedicated to Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle and hand-prints from many of the original Mercury 13 astronauts. It's also a great spot to view a launch! Be sure to visit us! The museum is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission donation is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, $5 for ages 13-18 and FREE to children 12 and under.
