Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge
Protected land serves as habitat for the endangered Florida Panther and other Florida wildlife, and as a research site for the Native Orchid Restoration Project. Two hiking trails are accessible to the public. The Leslie M. Duncan Memorial Trail is .3 miles and is wheelchair accessible with a raised, shell-paved trail bed. An additional unimproved loop trail winds 1.3 miles through the refuge. Trails open daily from sunup to sundown, closed after dark.
