OK I just had to share this photo! A few days ago we shot one of my VISIT FLORIDA Insider videos at Anclote Key Preserve State Park and after everything was all done I spent the night camping on the beach by myself. The next morning I paddled back across to Anclote River Park stopping at several spoil islands along the way. I saw dolphins a small ray in a shallow section close to the beach and was blessed with pretty calm waters despite lots of wind at sunrise. Good times and I can't wait to make it back for a longer outing.

Want to camp right on the beach just like I did? It's primitive so you'll have to bring your own supplies – pack plenty of water and food and bug spray is a must. Check out the web page for all the details on Anclote Key Preserve State Park camping. Oh and keep an eye out for the video too!

Much thanks to the crew at SPARK the fine folks at Florida State Parks wildlife photographer Andrea Webb Osprey Bay Outdoors and Captain Warren Deets. If you are looking for someone to put you on the fish from Clearwater to Hernando on the Gulf coast get with Warren – he's awesome!
