Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects® Made with LEGO® Bricks
A Beautiful and Inspirational Exploration of Art and Nature
JANUARY 15 – APRIL 25, 2021
Sean Kenney's Nature Connects® Made with LEGO® Bricks, an award-winning and record-breaking exhibition that uses beautiful works of art made from simple toy blocks to explore animal endangerment, the balance of ecosystems, and mankind’s relationship with nature will be on display throughout the Garden from January 15 – April 25, 2021.
Produced by Imagine Exhibitions, Nature Connects presents a playful spin on traditional sculptural art—making it accessible to guests of all ages and backgrounds. Using the beloved toy bricks as a medium, Nature Connects poses the question: just as LEGO bricks interconnect, how is our natural world interconnected?
As guests marvel at Sean’s gravity-defying and astoundingly precise structures, they will become inspired to explore their world in new ways. The narratives, along with the intricate displays, also explore the importance of conservation, the balance of ecosystems, predator/prey relationships, as well as the relationships between humankind and the natural world.
Most importantly, the exhibition allows visitors to appreciate both nature and the sculptures as something beautiful, and to inspire them to go home and create something wonderful themselves.
This is McKee Botanical Garden’s third installation and Sean Kenney’s latest and last series of Nature Connects®. Nature Connects® was McKee’s 2nd most popular exhibit!
