The Immerse Yourself presentations have been held at the Museum since it first opened in 2005. Each year a variety of speakers from various backgrounds, discuss their specialties.
An example of some of our recent presenters includes Museum member, author, and adventurer John Christopher Fine. He spoke in February about a WWII B-17 that went down off the coast of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea. After finding an airmen’s dog-tag, he was able to research and locate surviving crew members to hold a collaborative 50 year anniversary in Malta. The Museum’s March speaker was Sara Ayers-Rigsby, director of the Southeast & Southwest Florida Public Archaeology Network, in celebration of Archaeology Month and submerged resources.
