Hoist a Pint at an Irish-American Institution at McGuire's
In 1977, McGuire's opened as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center. In 1982, it moved to its current location, in Pensacola's original 1927 firehouse, where you'll currently find a 1900s New York-style Irish saloon themed restaurant.
There's no hiding the $1.2 million in $1 bills covering the walls and ceiling, of course. But what you really need to check out is the portfolio of 31 beers crafted at McGuire's award-winning brewery. Try a "sampler platter" — just over a pint divided among six small glasses — and you're sure to find your new favorite.
