When I got to the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando recently, I realized I'd forgotten my hairbrush. Hey, it happens.
So, off to the gift shop I went. As luck would have it, the gift shop at the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes, The Signature Shop, is packed with essentials that you, like me, might have forgotten: toothbrushes, hairbrushes, lip balm, face wash, Tylenol, etc …
But you’ll also find a heap of luxury goods that could make you wish you'd left more back at your place.
The perfume counter offers scents from brands such as Bond No. 9, a personal favorite. You’ll also find a selection of women’s wear from brands like Trina Turk. Other brands the shop carries include Robert Graham and Island Company.
At the back of the hotel's gift shop, you'll find gifts for the kiddos. From teddy bears to flip-flops, books and more, there are plenty of surprises for your little ones waiting back home.
Or, if you’re in the mood to spoil yourself and go on a shopping binge, splurge on Archipelago candles, locally made Florida Scrub Salts in scents like Key Lime, and Kay Yockey pearl accessories.
Forget to pack your swimsuit, there’s a full line of beach and pool wear, include bikinis, coverups, hats and pool shoes from OluKai.
In case there’s a nip in the air, grab him an Oxford Gold sweater or one from Thomas Dean.
And if you happen to buy a little more than fits into your luggage, don’t worry. The gift shop stocks Kipling bags in case you want to go on a bit of a spending spree while at the gift shop or one of Orlando’s amazing neighboring outlet malls.
Forgetting your hairbrush, may just be the best part of your trip.
