Mitzi Gordon
I'm Mitzi Gordon with VISITFLORIDA.com and we're here at Orlando Premium Outlets off of I-4, near Lake Buena Vista, to get the insider tips from tourists and management on shopping at outlet malls.
Florida's oversized outlet malls make shopping more than just an extracurricular activity. For many travelers, the mall itself is a destination. And why not? With seasonal sales, 110 [a hundred and ten] stores to choose from, discounts from 25 [twenty-five] up to maybe 75 [seventy-five] percent. Brands like Bass, Mikasa, Dior . . . you get it all in one place. Just make sure you bring good walking shoes.

How do we get a good deal around here?
Shopper
Well, what you do is go to the Food Court. They give you a coupon book for $5 [five dollars], or if you're a school teacher, you can get it even – I think it's for free. And then, you get coupons to every store in the mall.

We're here with Lee Jones, Assistant General Manager of Orlando Premium Outlets. Earlier you mentioned most of the customers here are from out of state.
Lee Jones
We have guests that come from the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Tokyo, Japan, China. So, it's very international.

Can you tell me your name and where you're from?
Carlo Torres
Carlo. Carlo Torres. Peru. I'm from Peru.
Mitzi Gordon
So do you have any personal shopping tips that you can share with the public?
Carlo Torres
[in Spanish] Well, if you get on the Internet, you can see when things are on sale at which stores. For me, for example, June is a good time because of the seasonal change, so all of the stores are having sales. You can find good sale prices and good sales shopping here.
Mitzi Gordon
[in Spanish] Thank you very much! [in English] Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Visitors from overseas can take advantage of an on-site currency exchange here at the mall and plenty of international shipping opportunities at the stores. They make it really easy for you to do your shopping. You'll see a lot of tourists here from across the pond.
[cut to interview with Fiona and Kim]
Can you tell me where you two are from?
Fiona and Kim
We're from Scotland.
Mitzi Gordon
And what brought you to the outlet mall today?
Fiona and Kim
Shopping, definitely! We came with empty suitcases, just in case!
Mitzi Gordon
Did you? And you're going to be filling them up today?
Fiona and Kim
Hopefully, yeah.
Mitzi Gordon
Any bargain-hunting tips that you can offer us? Some shopping tips?
Fiona and Kim
Well, it's good for us because we get $2 [two dollars] to the pound, so . . . that's always a good place to start!

Mitzi Gordon
Is it me? Because, for 40 [forty] percent off, I wind up spending about 150 [a hundred and fifty] bucks for an adorable sundress and sequined beach bag from Miss Sixty.

Whew! We've had such a full shopping day today, but it hasn't left my bank account empty. I'm really impressed with the bargains that we've been able to find at Orlando Premium Outlets. Take it from me and the other shoppers – you've got the inside tip on Florida's outlet malls. This is Mitzi Gordon, the Florida Insider for VISITFLORIDA.com.
