To find out the average temperature of a destination, just scroll to the bottom of VISIT FLORIDA’s home page. You’ll find a place to enter the city’s name plus the month.
A little more advice:
- Remember the old story about the man who drowned in the river with an average depth of two feet? An average is just an average. So bring clothes for weather that’s a little colder and a little warmer than expected.
- In the summer, Florida often has pop-up thunderstorms in the afternoon. If a storm does occur, it doesn’t mean the day is necessarily a washout – in fact, it probably isn’t. Summer storms often pass quickly.
- If a storm is anywhere close, get off the beach, because lightning is a real danger. Stay inside until half an hour after the last time you hear thunder.
