From Florida's Eden
Florida's Eden, an alliance of Florida artists, created the Heart of Florida Trail Guide to take visitors off the beaten path and into the backroads and small towns. Start at the butterfly rain forest at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Stop for lunch in Gainesville at Mario's Bistro for food and wine. Your next stop is in small-town Evinston, where the Wood & Swink still stands and operates as Florida's first federally designated post office. Finally, it's off to everyone's favorite small town, Micanopy, to shop with local merchants and stay at the Herlong Mansion, a charming bed and breakfast.
