The Northside of Jacksonville is booming with new businesses and residential areas. The airport area has many top-rated hotels and Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is ony about 5 miles from the Airport off I-95 at exit 358A. Hope to see you here soon!

Having never been to Jacksonville before, is it a safe area around the zoo and airport to stay overnight? What about by the Landing?

We're so glad that you are interested in visiting our Zoo. This is a great time of the year to come -- our gardens are beautiful and it is cool enough to enjoy all of the animals and activities. The airport is only 5 miles from the Zoo and they have quite a number of hotels there to choose from. I would suggest doing a Mapquest.com and enter Jacksonville International Airport, Jacksonville, FL 32218 and click on hotels. A detailed list of hotels will appear complete with address and phone number. Please let me know if you need anything else by emailing me at stilesg@jacksonvillezoo.org. Hope to see you soon!
