The BCC Planetarium & Observatory offers several unique ways to explore the universe.  The Science Quest Exhibit Hall features hands-on exhibits and displays.  Shock your friends with the Van de Graaff Electrostatic Generator and directly observe the Earth's rotation at the Foucault Pendulum.  The 70-foot domed planetarium theater reproduces the starry sky using a first-of-its-kind dual projection system combining Minolta Infinium and Digistar II star projectors.   See the real night sky through one of the largest telescopes in Florida!  Our rooftop observatory is home to 12 and 24 inch reflectors and a superb 6-inch refractor providing exceptionally crisp images of lunar craters, the rings of Saturn, or the moons of Jupiter.   The action springs to life in our Discovery Movie Theater.  Large format films presented on the giant 3-story high screen powered with 10,000 watts of stunning surround sound creates a spectacle you won't soon forget in films like SolarMax, Mysteries of Egypt, The Living Sea and many more!
